Weekend Escapade with the MF Gang

It's been really a long while since I scribbled something for my blog. Hmm..I want to tell you something, guys. I really had the time of my life last week when my fellow writer friends along with our writing gig boss flew all the way from Manila (not to mention that our boss, the Maganda Filipino blog owner, is still fresh from California, he must be jetlagged..lol) to Davao for some travel writing tasks and at the same time to also see me. Wow! I'm emotionally stirred. So, let's start how I exactly spent my weekend with the MF gang.

May 10
They boarded PAL's flight 821 which was supposed to touchdown Davao International Airport by 9:45 that evening but their flight got delayed by 15 minutes or so. I kept phoning my colleague, Yza, because that was the first time that we're going to actually meet. I'm ecstatic! I can feel butterflies fluttering inside my gut. (LOL).Yza was on the phone and she was giving me details so as I can see them in a sea of excited crowd waiting for their loved ones. Finally! I already saw them lugging their suitcases and I warmly welcomed my dearest friends from the MF family.  We then had a late dinner at Dimsum's which is just walking distance from where we were staying. Then the next days' itinerary include the following:

May 11

Bluejaz Beach Resort and Waterpark: This is where we wade our feet on pristine water, enjoy amazing rides at the Waterpark and of course relish the foods and drinks they served.

Everything's azure when water meets sky.

Moi :)

The beach bum.

Chillin' @ the bar but only had some smoothies though they prod me to try piƱa colada.

Aboard the boat which will take us back to the city. The water seems bluer this time.

Jack's Ridge- Believed to be the old crash site of a Japanese warplane but is now a prime destination for both the locals and tourists where they can enjoy the scenic view overlooking the city, not to mention opulent dining.

Davao's heritage.

Overlooking the city at nightfall, waiting for my Prince. Ahahaha!

Matina Town Square (MTS)-Youngsters usually flock to MTS especially during weekend nights where they can listen to the music of homegrown artists while relishing scrumptious food and drink, go shopping at the night market or simply meet new acquaintances.

May 12
Davao Crocodile Park- For the nature and wildlife enthusiasts, Davao Crocodile Park makes a perfect weekend escape. Get thrilled as you see the different species of both fresh and salt water crocodile as well as other species of exotic animals. Also, you can learn something about Davao's heritage as you set foot at the "Tribu Kamindanawon" (which translates Mindanao Tribe) where the crude way of living of Davao's natives is being showcased. You can also dine in at their restaurant where exotic foods are served. Well, I have weak tummy so I only had Crocodile Pandan ice cream.

@ the park's butterfly sanctuary.

Hanging out @ the park's tribal restaurant where exotic dishes are served.
Gooey Crocodile Pandan Ice Cream.
Crocodile Ice Cream Parlor:)

The world's fastest runner is behind me.

The band playing tribal music.
Pretending to play some crude musical instruments used by the natives.

One of the tribal houses in the village.
This gargantuan snake is trying to devour me whole. LOL

Lounging like a boss.

Another native house in the block.

Behind me is actually the tiger's cage.
RAWRRRR???

The largest bird in the Philippines- the Eagle:)

SM Lanang Premier-It's all about food, food, food and shopping till you conk out! :)

The sushi chronicle.

Hanging out @SB over a cuppa cold coffee with my sissy, Karmila.
Penne marinara for dinner @ The Pinnacle.

Hope y'all had a fantastic time reading this. Till next post!

~xoxo~
